Meet Fatima Solstice
Allison and I have worked together for the last couple years but I have been immersed in the world of birth and babies for much longer. I'm currently working towards a career in medicine. The journey is long and has had many twists and turns but keeps showing me that my heart lies in birth work. I grew a passion for supporting parents to help them feel empowered and informed to make their own healthcare choices. This passion is fostered at every birth I attend and witnessing parents being heard. Every birth is different just like every momma is different. Labour is such a sacred event that has a unique meaning to each mom experiencing it. I feel so blessed to be able to connect, support, and share in such an incredible event.
I attended Douglas College and completed Labour Support, and Breastfeeding Support for Healthcare Providers courses. I've completed training with the International Placenta & Postpartum Association (IPPA) and offer placenta services such as encapsulation, tinctures, and prints. I'm also a current Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada (CPSAC) certified child passenger safety technician (CPST) and check car seat installations (by donation) to help you feel confident in ensuring the safety of your most precious cargo. I have a toddler who is love and light incarnate. I carry her around in my heart everywhere I go. I often, half jokingly, say that I want 10 kids....but I'm also half serious! |
