Birth Doula Service - $1450 UPDATE - $1650 if booked after September 1 2022
Special rates available for previous clients birthing again
Includes: unlimited phone/text/email check-ins, two to three prenatal visits (2-5 hours each) which include extensive prenatal education, access to education and planning resources. Doula care includes continuous labour, birth & immediate postpartum support, access to my resource library, TENS machine, rebozo, home & water birth supplies, resources & unlimited virtual support until 6 weeks postpartum, as well as a postpartum visit.
Within your two to three prenatal visits, you can expect:
- Stages of Pregnancy, labour and Birth
- Understanding the physiology of birth
- Building your birth values
- Preparing your mind & body for birth
- An exploration of any past birth & pregnancy experiences
- Your chosen team & their roles in your experience
- A “Ride-Along” with you to a clinical care visit if appropriate
- Deep understanding of positions in labour and when/why they have impact
- Comfort measures for labour
- Creating your postpartum plan
- Newborn care
- Breast/chest feeding
- Safe sleeping options
- Building your community of birth recovery & healing practitioners
As your birthing time approaches & labour begins you can expect:
- Continuous communication and support via phone and text
- My arrival within about an hour of you deciding you want me to join you
- Physical & emotional support for yourself & your family
- Support ranging from information and affirmations, to family support, to practical care and physical comfort, to giving your partner a bathroom/snooze break, and everything in between!
- Complimentary use of my TENS machine, birth tools, rebozo, and birth pool & kit
- Full setup and cleanup of the birth pool & home birth equipment for home birth settings
- Advocacy and information to navigate current care practices and protocols in hospital birth settings
- Immediate post-birth bonding & breast/chest feeding with your newborn & new family until you are comfortable with my leaving (no time limits set)
My postpartum visits include a focus on any of the following that feel most helpful to your family:
- Emotional support & birth debriefing
- Healing resources
- Newborn care
- Family team support planning & sibling support
- Baby wearing support
- Breast/chest feeding support & resources

- 2 to 3 hour consult in your home to discuss birth options

In-Home Standalone Prenatal Classes / Education - $350
- prenatal education given in your home on your schedule (evenings and weekends inclusive!)
- 2x 3 hour sessions or 3x 2 hour sessions depending on what fits your personal needs
- fee reduced by $200 if you decide to continue with full doula care services
